Clearing The Way For The Space Revolution by using cryptocurrency to create a profit-driven social good
Please note all numbers and concepts on this site are works in progress and subject to change until end of November 2021.
Tokens (called “sktl's”) are created and distributed* for each “Space Action” according to the following schedule for the first year (these numbers are cut in half for each successive year, such that the system is rewarding sktl holders for being early):
*Created and distributed to existing sktl holders who stake their tokens to our system on a pro-rata basis. Existing sktl holders who stake their tokens to our system get 50% and the other 50% is donated to removing space debris from around Earth.
Successful "Space Actions" will be determined using blockchain.
sktls is based upon the principles of openness, transparency and fairness. sktl is completely decentralized. After we create the programs on Ethereum, the founders have no more control than anyone else. Each sktl token grants the right to one vote in the sktl community. The community, by voting proxy, determines what companies, universities, governments or other entities receive sktl tokens to fund the Space Cleaning objective from the Space Cleaning Fund. The five entities that receive the most votes each year, get 20% of that year's grant.
For every sktl token granted to the community of sktl token holders, another sktl token is always contributed to the Space Cleaning Fund.
The Space Cleaning Fund donates 10% of its sktl token holdings every May 6 (Space Day).

sktl is short for Sky's The Limit. Also, coincidentally, a skytale/scytale is a method of cryptography used especially by the Spartans in which a narrow strip of parchment was wound on a rod and the message written across the adjoining edges. (See the sktl logo for an example.)
Space debris is perhaps the single biggest impediment to making humankind interplanetary. Learn more: https://www.google.com/search?q=space+debris
Essentially, the network "mines" new sktls whenever there's a new space activity. Existing owners and the Space Cleaning Fund "mine" new tokens as the space economy grows, but like with bitcoin, it gets exponentially harder to create new sktl tokens as the years go by. Which leads us to our next FAQ...
To gradually slow the new supply of the currency, in order to limit future inflation while still allowing for the new tokens to be added to the supply in an ever slower manner. In 20 years, even a successful "Space Action" of sending a human beyond our solar system would only create 95 new stkls.
The moment that the Airdrop recipients receive their sktl tokens, they will be free to sell them on several of the 400+ existing cryptocurrency exchanges. The market value will be set by whatever price people/companies/governments/etc are willing to pay to get their own stkl tokens after the airdrop.
Yes it does! By supporting the value of the sktl by holding and/or using the sktl tokens, you increase the amount of money that is donated to cleaning up space.
A total of 220,000,000 million tokens will be created for the initial (and only) airdrop. The total number of sktl tokens that will ever be created will be topped out at 300,000,000 sktls.
Features about this token, it's holds the parties repsonsible for space junk accountable and literally provies the method to which fund its clearn up.
sktl: The Space Debris Cleaning Cryptocurrency
This same concept for a cryptocurrency that does social good through profit motive will be applied to other social needs, including cleaning the ocean (BlueWater Fathom fthm's), feeding the hungry (FeedTheWorld feed's), etc. Stay tuned.
Join a team of dozens of people volunteering to work on the sktls launch. We are looking for a Full-Stack Frontend Developer to join the team. Space glory awaits the right person.
